"San-San"
Y16 Bay Thoroughbred Colt 16.3 HH Earnings: $3,000 Lifetime HoTY: |
Much like his sire, San-San stood out as one of the most calm two year olds of the Crimson Haven crop. He's quiet and somewhat unsocial, often keeping to himself when he's in the paddock. City Lights is an old soul and is always grouchy, almost like an old man. However, his demeanor changes from time to time. All of a sudden, he's alive and kicking, looking like he's grinning ear to ear with energy. He enjoys human affection when he's like this, but try to pet him when he's not in the mood and he will not hesitate to bite. Interacting with San-San is a matter of being highly in tune to his mood to know how to treat him that day.

Maiden: 3-0-0-1
Surface/Distance: Turf, 5-8 Furlongs Leg Type: Preceder Jockey: Dylan Gray With not much being known about his dam's racing style due to her injury, San-San showed preference to the preceder position. He loads into the gate without a fuss and breaks cleanly. From there, he'll stay behind the front runners, always putting a little pressure on them. When the final stretch comes, City Lights gives everything he has to finish first. Just like his, the noise of the crowd seems to spur him on.
